Mi hermosa madre

How does my mom stay so young and beautiful?  A mystery I've yet to uncovered.  I hope to age as graceful as her someday.  Being her flesh and blood, I have hope, but I'm sure she takes much better care of her body and appearance than I do.

Mystic Mist

Had a short and fun shoot with my sis-in-law Rosie and my niece Arris this past Friday.   The mist was def unexpected, but was a great addition!  It added a sort of special-ness and ethereal feel to my photos.

The weather was lovely this past Saturday, a perfect day to do a shoot with my sister Susie and her bf Matt.  We found a sweet little area by luck and it was beautiful to shoot in.

Summer is finally in the air!

I LOVE photography!  It's truly a passion of mine that started quite a long time ago.  Now that it's finally nice outside, my amateur self is slowly getting back into the groove of shooting.  I particularly enjoy shooting couples in a natural setting with natural light.  This weekend, I was able to get a session in with my brother Yee and his wife Phoua, and it turned out great!

The children came along too so I wanted to include one with them.  They are just adorable!

The Hobbit

If anybody is as big of a fan of Lord of the Rings as I am then they should be anticipating the 2-part movies of “The Hobbit” set for release in 2012 and 2013.  I’ve been following up (not as often as I should) on the making of it and had come across this vid a while ago.  Director Peter Jackson takes us back on a nostalgic tour of Middle Earth and my excitement level has been boosted sky high.  I’m in total geek mode and ready to go on another adventure with hobbits, dwarves, wizards, and elves.  Join me!

A day off of work means sushi time!

I think this will be the last time I order tempura.  It doesn't taste good to me anymore.

My little brother says that miso soup taste like a "flavored lake."  He is silly.

So I only have two weeks left of my summer and I've been thinking about what I should do to make this relatively short time worthy.  I thought about whipping up a few garment pieces, but decided to squash that idea since my motivation seems rather lacking as of late.  I can see myself failing to take off so I shall wait for an inspiration to greet me instead.
